OUR HISTORY Kangaroo Island Veterinary Clinic has been providing quality veterinary care to both domestic animals and wildlife across Kangaroo Island for over 40 years.
The clinic was founded in 1982 by Dr Greg Johnsson and Dr Debra Lehmann. What began as a single room in their home gradually grew into the purpose-built facility we operate from today. In 2021, the clinic was purchased by veterinarians Dr Elisa Nishimoto, Dr Jodi Maher, and Dr Lauryn Stewart, who continued the clinic’s strong tradition of caring for the island’s animals and supporting the local community. In early 2026, Dr Elisa Nishimoto became the sole owner and continues to lead the clinic with a commitment to high-quality veterinary care and community service. We are proud to offer a true mixed animal practice and provide an on-call veterinarian to assist animals in times of emergency. |
